摘要:《美的历程》自1981年出版以来一直畅销至今,已被翻译成英语、韩语和德语，三语种译本发行至今均有至少30年之久，然而有关《美的历程》翻译出版和海外传播的研究几乎为零，这与其在国内的经典地位和广受赞誉形成了鲜明反差。本文着重介绍了三个语种译本的出版、世界图书馆馆藏以及读者评价情况，继而指出作为一部国内公认的经典巨著，《美的历程》近二十多年来几乎再无外译实属憾事，建议重启作品的外译活动，并开启与之相关的翻译研究，以期为未来我国的美学艺术经典作品的外译出版和研究积累经验。
